Charles I

Template:Stub Charles I was born November 19, 1600 and died January 30, 1649. He became king of England and Ireland in 1625 and did much to worsen the conflicts between the king and Parliament throughout his reign.
Long Parliament
After he dismissed Parliament against their will, Oliver Cromwell led a successful revolt culminating in his execution.
