Dana Perino (born May 9, 1972) was President George W. Bush's last White House Press Secretary. On September 14, 2007, she replaced Tony Snow after Snow stepped down from that position.[1] She is currently a political commentator on Fox News, while also serving as a co-host of the network's popular talk show The Five, and is a book publishing executive at Random House.
Before joining the Bush Administration White House staff, Perino worked as a television reporter, as an aide to members of Congress, in public affairs at a technology company, and as a spokesperson for the Department of Justice. In the White House, prior to becoming Press Secretary, she served as Director of Communications for the Council on Environmental Quality and as Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy Press Secretary.[2]
She is a staunch supporter of liberal homosexual politician Carl DeMaio.[3]
