Dunbar is a fishing port and resort town in south-east East Lothian, Scotland some 28 miles north of Berwick upon Tweed. It became a royal burgh (borough) in 1369. A castle was built there during the 9th century, withstood many sieges through the Middle Ages then was destroyed in 1668 because of its association with Mary Queen of Scots.
