Evolution syndrome is the word used by creationists to describe the insistence of the biologyy establishment in the fact that human evolution from animals is the only scientifically testable theory to explain how humans came into existence. People who seem to be affected are particularly against teaching any alternative theories to children in science class in school, and they support giving scientific positions in biological research only to people who want to research along the lines of what they themself suppose is scientifically testable.

It is reflected on the Internet by people who devote their time in insisting on censoring alternative views of the issue, which leads to revert battles in wikis, flamewars in Usenet groups, and insistence on last wordism. There is a high incidence of atheism among this group and indeed, most atheists suffer from evolution syndrome.
