The term family-friendly is applied to material which is appropriate for use by all ages. It is characterized by being free from profanity, sexual description (in words or images), foul language, blasphemy, drug use, and positive depictions of criminal violence. It is ironic that material containing these is often described as 'adult'; anything more immature than pornography would be hard to imagine.
