/* Nine */ comment re Jn 3:16 that the Greek kosmos excludes no one, but includes all, which contradicts doctrine of redemption only of the predestinated elect
:See the following:
:*[http://biblehub.com/commentaries/john/3-16.htm John 3:16 Exegetical (original languages) text commentaries ''pro'' and ''con'' at biblehub.com]
Compare the '''Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges''' commentary on John 3:16–21: "''It is much disputed whether what follows is a continuation of Christ’s discourse, or the comment of the Evangelist upon it.''"

:John 3:16 clearly contradicts the [[Calvinism|Calvinist]] doctrine of [[predestination]] and especially the doctrine of Limited Atonement. "God so loved the world". He does not say, "God so loved the predestined elect".
''' ἠγάπησεν ὁ Θεὸς τὸν κόσμον '''
''egapesen ho Theos ton kosmon''
"loved - God the world"
This is also found in the statement of 2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise; as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, '''not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance'''. Compare Revelation 22:17, "and '''whosoever will'''...". Every human being is included in the universal (''catholic'') plan of salvation through the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. God "commandeth all men everywhere to repent" Acts 17:30. The Holy Spirit said to Peter, "What God hath cleansed, ''that'' call not thou common." And Peter said, "God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean." Acts 10:15b, 10:28b. KJV. See also John 6:37, "...and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out."
This is especially strong in Paul's undeniable declaration in '''[http://biblehub.com/multi/romans/5-18.htm Romans 5:18]:'''
::"Therefore as by the offence of one ''judgment came'' upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one ''the free gift came'' upon '''all men''' unto justification of life." KJV.
:This is Unlimited Atonement. Jesus Himself said,
::"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw '''all ''men''''' unto me." John 12:32 KJV.
:This is the word of the Lord. No one is excluded.
(See the warning in '''[http://biblehub.com/john/12-48.htm John 12:48]'''.)
