He is the star of the movies Four Weddings and a Funeral, Mickey Blue Eyes, Notting Hill, The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain and Sirens. Grant is usually typecast as an doddering, wealthy, amiable upper-class twerp.

In April 2007, he was arrested by police in London for allegedly assaulting a photographer with a carton of baked beans. On June 2, 2007 the Crown Prosecution Service announced that he would not face charges.[1]
