Kentucky entered into the Union in 1792, making it the fifteenth state to enter into the union. It's capital is Frankfort. Kentucky is bordered to the North by Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois, to the South by Tenessee, to the East by Virginia and West Virginia, and to the West by Missouri. The Ohio River makes up the Northern border of Kentucky.
