==Etymology==
The name dates to the Akkadian invasion of the 23rd century BC, The Akkadians referred to the Snow Capped mountians as "Lobnan" (meaning White), the name was exclusive to the biblical mountain region until the 20th century when the French created "Greater Lebanon" to include the Phoenician coasts and Western Beqa'a.
