Leonard D. Abbott
From Conservapedia
Leonard Dalton Abbott was one of nine people who founded the Rand School of Social Research.[1] He was also a founding member of the Intercollegiate Socialist Society.
In 1902, Abbott helped convert Upton Sinclair to socialism. At an anniversary dinner for the League for Industrial Democracy he said: "Upton Sinclair, also a founder, was a second magnet. I had helped to convert him to Socialism, and he, in turn, gave me assignments to visit Columbia, Wesleyan, and other universities in the interest of our ideals."[2]
