Mac OS or MacOS is the operating system developed by Apple Inc. which in included with all Macintosh computers. Versions 1 through 9 of MacOS were built from the ground up by Apple. However, version X of MacOS is based on a UNIX kernel and will accept UNIX commands.
The latest version is version 11 "Big Sur". [1]
