Manasseh (Hebrew מְנַשֶּׁה, I cause to forget, or Greek Μανασσῆς) is the name of two men in the Bible:

  1. Manasseh, son of Joseph, born in Egypt. He gave his name to the tribe of Manasseh that descended from him.
  1. Manasseh King of Judah, who certainly "forgot" God until he was taken prisoner by Esarhaddon for a brief spell.
