Martin Alonso Pinzon (1441 - March 31, 1493) was a Spanish navigator and explorer, and co-discoverer of America.

He sailed with Christopher Columbus on his first trip to the New World in 1492 as captain of the Pinta. Martin Alonso was born in Palos de la Frontera to a wealthy family. His brothers, Vicente Yáñez Pinzón and Francisco Martín Pinzón, went on Columbus's first voyage as captain and master of the Nina, respectively.
