Morris J. "Mo" Brooks, Jr. (born 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina) is an American attorney and Republican U.S. Representative from Alabama's 5th congressional district. In the primary, he defeated incumbent Congressman Parker Griffith, who was originally elected as a Democrat but switched to the Republican party, and defeated Democrat Steve Raby in the general election. Brooks currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee and Homeland Security Committee.
