Interestingly archaeologists have never found Neanderthal cave drawings, although hand-crafted art has been found <ref>Neanderthal 'face' found in Loire <i>BBC News </i>[http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/3256228.stm]</ref>.
