Nick DiPaolo (born January 31, 1962 in Danvers, Massachusetts) is an American comedian, actor, writer, and radio personality. His humor is known for being edgy, witty, and unconstrained by political correctness.
A Republican working in New York City, DiPaolo is a rarity among mainstream comedians but has achieved success, landing several stand-up specials on Comedy Central and writing and acting roles on shows such as Lucky Louie, Louie, and The Chris Rock Show. He has often targeted President Obama in his comedy, and told Politico "“You heard Chris Rock saying that there’s nothing to make fun about Obama, and I was like, ‘Do you wanna make a bet?’”" [1]
In an appearance on the show Louie, he performs a comedy set critical of Barack Obama, and then gets in a fight with his liberal friend Louis CK. Although the incident was originally reported as a real fight, it was part of the plot of the show and was scripted.[2]
