Pussy Willow is the English-language common name for species of willow which have furry buds in spring.
In North America, pussy willow (also known as American Pussy Willow) refers to Salix discolor, a species native to northern North America.
In the United Kingdom, pussy willow (also known as Goat Willow) refers to Salix caprea, a species native to northern Europe and northwest Asia.
