Racial superiority is a doctrine of inherent worth based on physical body type, especially skin color. In descending order of worth, Europeans evaluted people as follows:
- whites - the best
- yellow peoples - somewhat inferior
- red "Indians" - inferior
- brown and black - savage "beasts"
