Racial superiority is a doctrine of inherent worth based on physical body type, especially skin color. In descending order of worth, Europeans evaluted people as follows:

  1. whites - the best
  2. yellow peoples - somewhat inferior
  3. red "Indians" - inferior
  4. brown and black - savage "beasts"
