Susana Martinez, Republican, is the current Governor of New Mexico; She served as District Attorney for the 3rd Judicial District in Doña Ana County, New Mexico, having been elected in 1996 and reelected three times. She is the first hispanic womam nominated by a major party for governor in U.S. history.
