I have to question the assertion that Ethiopia is the only African country never to be colonized. I don't think Liberia was ever colonized. MountainDew 01:14, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
Liberia was set up as an American colony for the repatriation of black American slaves. While it was not run as a settler colony or administered from the metropole on the French or British models, it was still very much a colonial state built on land that was previously the domain of Africans.Jacobin 01:20, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
