As a disclaimer, yes I own a hybrid car, and I think it's great! It's a shame that they get a bad rap with us conservatives because they help me live more independently, which I believe is a noble goal we should all strive for. Hello,

I will be removing some of the uncited info on this page, as well as some of the common misconceptions about hybrid cars

Under the cons you list that the cars are heavier, but fail to justify why that is a con.

You claim they are underpowered and slow, which is not true considering cars like the Tesla

You also overstate the risk of electrocution, and fail to cite any reference for your claims of electromagnetic radiation, something I have never heard before.

Cite some sources if you want to state anything beyond the commonly known facts please. --WayneJ 18:51, 19 August 2011 (EDT) Why were my edits reverted? As it stands, this is a poor article as there are no citations to back up the very debatable "facts" contained in it.

As a disclaimer, yes I own a hybrid car, and I think it's great! It's a shame that they get a bad rap with us conservatives because they help me live more independently, which I believe is a noble goal we should all strive for. A strong man is one who can stand on his own 2 feet if necessary. --WayneJ 18:51, 19 August 2011 (EDT)

Everything I wrote is factual. I really don't want to be rude Wayne, but I get the sense that you don't know that much about cars. I don't say that lightly but because almost everything you wrote is wrong.

Hybrids don't help you live independently, they don't save money in the long run or the short run for that matter. They cost more to buy, cost more to maintain and only get slightly better mileage than regular efficient cars. There is tons of propaganda promoting hybrids so I'm not that surprised that you think they are better, but please don't try to censor the truth because you don't know about it. Again I don't mean to be rude, but I don't want to have to argue about facts that would be obvious to anyone who knows about cars. --CraigF 22:38, 19 August 2011 (EDT)
