I am uncomfortable making this change, because I fear not being knowledgable enough about the topic, but my understanding was that it was *not* merely "resident alients" caught up in the Japanese internment, but full-fledged citizens of the United States, some families having had citizenship for several generations, of japanese ancestry who were also interned. If I'm correct the references to it relating to "resident aliens" is too constrained (though I suppose Korematsu himself may have been an alien, rather than a citizen). Can someone who knows more about the case confirm? Jesus Saves 16:33, 14 December 2007 (EST)
