User:Bronzefinger took a poorly written article on probability and made it even more incomprehensible. How about starting over and giving a simple introduction, so that a reader with 6th grade math skills can understand it?

We might start with something like:

  • The probability of event A is the number of ways event A can occur divided by the total number of possible outcomes.

Coin tosses, cards, etc.

I'm a math expert, but that doesn't mean I enjoy writing about it. Let's try again! :-) --Ed Poor Talk 17:17, 15 August 2007 (EDT)

Much better introduction. DanH 17:19, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
