The Trans-Atlantic slave trade formed a triangle between Africa, British colonies in the Caribbean, and New England. It started with slaves from Africa go to the Caribbean for sugar cane. Next, sugar canes from the Caribbean go to New England for rum. Finally, rum from New England went to Africa for slaves.
