I saw your comment on talk:liberal. Don't get discouraged by that; they have a TON of vandals around here and sometimes it puts the sysops on edge. I actually read an article last year in the New York Times about the type of Conservative you were talking about (I forget where they were... some prairy state). I found it very interesting, in terms of political theory. Even the more "advanced" views on political specra -- or more pragmatically the big political analysts -- don't really have a way to cope for "red blooded environmentalists". It's a question that could become very important in next year's election, at least for certain parts of America.

• I don't know why Liberals think this is something new....but it does amuse me. From TR on down, some of the biggest environmental protections have been the work of Republican administrations, especially Conservative ones....that really isn't news. I have been a pretty hard-line environmentalist all my life, and I know DanH here is as well. Although I am not happy with the Left co-opting some organizations, it hasn't changed my outlook on preserving things. Ed, if you read my comment, you'll see that I was VERY much in support of the girl - I was making the point (very clearly I thought) that I am actually against making fun of her. Her TV blooper was, indeed, amusing, but it was no reason to make a laughing stock of her - and I certainly did not, and will not, make fun of her. I see no point in mentioning the incident at all, except in the context of: How eager people are to point out minor flaws in other people who are more successful.

I just watched a movie called "The Children's Hour", about two mischievous underachievers who start a rumor to get their headmistress in trouble. People like hearing rumors, I guess it makes them feel superior. Kind of like the white people who believe blacks are no smarter than baboons, or the members of Religion X who regard members of Religion Y as heathen or infidels.

I'm always glad to help with article and grammar corrections but don't have much time, I'm afraid, to properly contribute whole articles. In this world, some of us are merely the police and others are the Chief Justices. And it would seem the police have an awful lot to do, given the number of errors and blatant untruths to be found throughout this site. And Chief Justices are not spared the rules of law. No, I'm not a conservative. But I don't think liberals would define me as a liberal either. I'm no libertarian though. Personally, I think I'm simply somewhere in the middle, where I prefer to let reason win. I find much to disagree with on Conservapedia, but then I find much to disagree with everywhere else too. Perhaps I'm just a disagreeable person.
