YouCut is designed for the people to let their voices be heard and to change Washington's culture of spending into a culture of savings. This project of the Republican Whip Eric Cantor allows you to vote on spending cuts that you want to see the House enact. YouCut has already proposed over $120 Billion in federal cuts voted on by the people. Unfortunately, as the minority party they are unable to act on the legislation. The GOP House majority of the incoming 112th Congress will act. In addition, you will be able to see which representative voted in favor or against the wishes of the American people. You can vote online or by cell phone. Plus, you can make suggestions on cuts that may be included in future votes. More than 1.3 million votes have been cast since the site was created. ^[1] In their twelfth week of operation they are asking the public to vote on cutting NPR funding in the wake of Juan Williams firing.

• Week Five: Prohibit Hiring New IRS Agents to Enforce Health Care Law ($15 Billion Savings)
• Week Six: Taxpayer Subsidized Union Activities ($1.2 Billion Savings)
• Week Seven: Prohibit Stimulus Funding for Promotional Signage (Tens of Millions)
• Week Eight: Prohibit Sleeper Car Subsidies on Amtrak ($1.2 billion Savings)
• Week Nine: Bipartisan Proposal to Terminate AEITC ($1.1 billion Savings)
• Week Ten: Require Collection of Unpaid Taxes From Federal Employees ($1 billion Savings)
• Week Eleven: Reduce Government Employment to 2008 Levels ($35 billion Savings)
