Ignorance of the psychology of religion

This article says that Dawkins is ignorant of philosophy and religion, but could add that this is especially so when it comes to the psychology of religion. In his book "The God Delusion", he has a chapter called "The Roots of Religion" but in this chapter he does not really discuss famous theories of the origin of religion, whether from atheistic thinkers such as Karl Marx or Sigmund Freud, or from those more sympethetic to religion, such as Carl Jung or Erik H. Erikson. Carltonio (talk) 11:14, 19 September 2019 (EDT)

Scripture

In The God Delusion, Dawkins has a chapter called "The Good Book and the Moral Zeitgeist". He is especially critical of the Old Testament in this book. He is not so critical of the New Testament, but he fails to point out that the Old Testament is often quoted in the New Testament. Carltonio (talk) 11:36, 20 September 2019 (EDT)
