Talk:Opportunity cost

Monetary worth of Conservapedia
Would you say it is possible to estimate the monetary worth of Conservapedia by taking the total editing time (or similar) and average wage of editors? This would make an interesting comparison with wikipedia, which has many unemployed/low earning editors. We could use this to calculate an average article worth as well. - PS - if total log in time is unavailable, perhaps edit count could be used? NigelP 11:55, 1 March 2011 (EST)
- Conservapedia's value cannot be expressed in monetary terms. Money is a poor metric for measuring the value of greater understanding and faith, and happier lives.--Andy Schlafly 12:01, 1 March 2011 (EST)
- Of course, its moral worth cannot be calculated so simply; I just wondered if this could show a comparison between the effort and quality of articles here and at wikipedia, in a quantitative manner, similar to the difference in liberalism that you measured. NigelP 12:13, 1 March 2011 (EST)

- Conservapedia had an estimated monetary value of over $10 million 4 or 5 years ago during pandemic lockdowns according to Hypestat; its estimated value was about $130,000 after 3 years of User:Conservatives trolling spam to drive down its value and chase readers and contributors away. As of 2 days ago, Hypestate dropped tracking Conservapedia cause it fell below the top 300,000 websites. RobSZelensky Must Go! 14:39, May 31, 2025 (EDT)
- Since my first desyopping in 2011, which User:Conservative has admitted was unfair and malicious and he has apologized for, User:Conservative has driven down Conservapedia traffic rankings from 50,000 to 300,000. Yet he still boasts of his 15 minutes of fame which expired almost two decades ago when he baited in cyber vandals to assist destruction of Conservapedia as a viable source and project.
