Mahmoud Abbas

Mahmoud Abbas (Arabic: محمود عباس) (born March 26, 1935) (Abu Mazen) is the current president of the State of Palestine. He is a member of the political party Fatah.[1]

Palestinian Authority instructions to mosques on infidels (June 2023)[2]

Political views

On March 15, 2013 Abbas explained that “there is no difference between our policies and those of Hamas.”[3] In his New ear’s speech, Abbas praised Haj Amin al-Husseini, a instigator of pogroms against Jews and ally of Adolf Hitler.[4] In addition Abbas is a Holocaust denier.[5][6] While "accusing" Israel of committing a so-called “ethnic cleansing” despite the growing Arab population inside Israel and its expanding Arab settlements, Abbas stated that “no Jew, civilian or otherwise, would be permitted to live in the future Palestinian state he envisions.”[7]

Abbas refused to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In July 2016 Netanyahu created a video in which he asked Abbas to fire his advisor Sultan Abu al Einein, who had called to slit the throat of every Israeli. He also criticized Abbas' political party Fatah for praising a terrorist attack which murdered 24 civilians on Facebook and called him to instruct the party's social media manager to stop the praising of such terrorist attacks.[8]

In 2016, Abu Mazen's Fatah claimed to have 'Killed 11,000 Israelis'. In a bid to whip up support.[9]

1972 Munich massacre

Mahmoud Abbas - Abu Mazen was behind financing the Munich massacre[10][11][12] and in 2010, he lauded Munich massacre Leader.[13] In 2016, [14] Mahmoud Abbas's party Fatah called the 1972 Munich terrorist attack in which Palestinians brutally tortured and murdered the Israeli Olympic team a "heroic operation."

At 50 Years to 1972 Munich massacre

On Aug 16, 2022, Palestinian Authority leader Abu Mazen, visiting Berlin, belittled again[15][16] the Holocaust. This time by his outrageous statement about so called "50" supposedly "committed." German chancellor, Olaf Sholz later on condemned him,[17][18] As well as condemned by Yad Vashem,[19] the US among others. [12] His lies about the Holocaust enraged Germans.[20] His distortion of history and of facts regarding anti-Terror defense actions brought about strong reaction.[21] Following Abu Mazen's statement, a furious daughter of the victim of the athletes massacre in Munich reminded: "Abu Mazen was part of the murder plan." His involvement was recalled.[12][16]

Not surprisingly, prominent "Palestinians" praised Abbas, his statement.[16]

After the storm, the German police opened an investigation against the Palestinian President Abu Mazen on incitement.[22][23][24][25]

Following Abu Mazen's scandalous remarks, former German parliamentarian: 'Germany should send money to families of Munich victims rather than Palestinians.'[26]

Worst is, his hate rhetoric boosted his popularity among Arab "Palestinians."[27][28]

After Abbas' remarks, a security guard of Arab origin saluted the Nazi salute an Israeli delegation in the Olympic village in Munich.[29][30][31][32] The 19-year-old German security guard of "Arab descent" Nazi saluting, has been suggested to be connected to the incident with remarks made the same day by Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas.[33]

Corruption & theft

Abbas is infamous for his despotic ways and his epic corruption. He has amassed a private fortune of hundreds of millions, money diverted from foreign aid[34] and from louche business deals he has made for himself and his two sons Tareq and Yasser. As well as plain stealing from funds he was given from Arafat's PM when assumed office.[35] In addition to that, instead of openly stealing from the P.A., Abbas employed his two sons, Tareq and Yasser. Contiuing a "tradition" set forth by Arafat who $1 billion in tax revenue relayed by Israel for Palestinian workers.[36] He has provided well-paid government jobs to his own relatives and to the relatives of others in the PA government, assuring their loyalty.

Oppression

In 2021, especially after beating to death of a critic of the PA, there were demonstrations[37] --quelled brutally[38]-- against the oppressive anti human rights "moderate" PA. Some called for outside help.[39]

Hateful theories

In 2015 he presents Holocaust as something Jews "say."[40]

In 2018, Abbas has justified the Nazis and tried to rewrite history.[41]

In Nov 2021, Abbas’ Advisor: Allah is punishing world with COVID-19 for ignoring Palestinian plight. [42]

On Aug 24, 2023. Palestine Authority's Mahmoud Abbas denies the facts of the Holocaust, justifies the Nazis, recycles bogus ideas. Causing an International uproar, condemnations.[43][44][45][46][47][48] Palestinian Authority spox, not only did not apologize, but even defended Abbas Antisemitic statements. Nabil Abu Rudeineh in a statement published last week by the P.A.'s official WAFA news agency.[49] The "Palestinian" leader "explained," Hitler by saying "even for Hitler, "this was (supposedly) not about Semitism and anti-Semitism."[50]

Racist law against selling land to Jews

Reminded:[51]
According to a 2014 amendment to Palestinian Authority law passed by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Government Decision with Legislative Effect (No. 20)) the maximum sentence for selling land to Jews is life imprisonment with hard labor.

Glorifying murder / terror

Pattern: 'condemns and encourages the "martyrs of Fatah": Abu Mazen in a double game.'[52]

A 2022 report per study: Palestinian children learn to murder Jews. In Palestinian Authority schools, textbooks' incitement to violence, terror and anti-Semitism increasing.[53]

Islamism

In April 2022, supreme Sharia judge and Abbas advisor: ‘Ramadan is a month of jihad, conquest and victory.’[54]

Palestinian Authority instructions to mosques on infidels (June 2023)[55]
Reported:[55]

Every week, the PA Ministry of Religious Affairs dictates talking points for all PA mosque preachers for the upcoming Friday sermon through a sheet of instructions. As Palestinian Media Watch has exposed, the preachers can’t freely choose their own subjects.

A recent (June 4, 2023) example is the letter above. It instructs preachers to teach worshippers that "Almighty Allah?" will be victorious and “send His light in spite of the infidels.” The word "infidels" of course refers to the Jews in "Palestine" – which according to the PA includes all of the State of Israel.

Jihadi genocidal

Palestinian Authority guideline to mosques for Islamist anti-Jewish genocide (10.20.23)

"Palestinian" Authority, genocide message, Friday, Oct 20, 2023: All mosques must teach that extermination of Jews is an Islamic imperative.[56]

Blood money - payments to terrorists families goes up per Jews they murdered

Palestinian Authority (PA) President 'Abbas: 'If We Had Only A Single Penny Left, We Would Pay It To Families Of The Martyrs(sic) (July 23, 2018)[57]

Admitting on (Feb.19.2019) that the Palestinian Authority has been paying terrorists that murder Jews
Praising terrorists (2015)

Pay for slay

The money transfer for racist Arab terrorists increases per Jews they murdered. 7 percent of the Palestinian budget goes to the families of martyrs and security prisoners.[58][59] Expert on the Palestinian arena:[58]
In addition to the payment of salaries, the Palestinian Authority also provides financial assistance to the children of the prisoners... "The authority has tried over the years to define it as a social benefit, but we were able to overturn that decision in court," Eviatar says. "Because basically the only element that determines how much everyone gets is your years in prison. Your years in prison are derived from the extent of the offenses of your murder, the indictment. The aid goes up in direct proportion to the number of Jews you killed indicating it is far from social."

Arab writer asked (Sep 2023): "Where Are the Palestinian Concessions for Peace?"

If anyone is misreading the situation, however, it is Blinken, who thinks that Israeli concessions would convince the Palestinians to accept an agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel. As the results of the PCPSR poll showed, the Palestinian public is not impressed with the proposed concessions.

If the Palestinian Authority is currently unable or unwilling to prevent terror groups from attacking Israelis, it is truly delusional to think that it would be more diligent in controlling security in any new areas it received from Israel. Abbas has not been willing to send his security officers to arrest or kill the terrorists based in the cities of Jenin and Nablus. He knows that if he does, his people will condemn him as a "traitor" and "collaborator" with Israel, and quickly dispatch him to "drink tea up there" with the Egypt's murdered President Anwar Sadat, who was assassinated for brokering his country's 1979 peace deal with Israel. Moreover, Abbas will not go against the terrorists as long as they do not physically go against him.

Most of all, the idea of transferring more land to the Palestinians is terrible because sends a message to the Palestinian Authority that, after it failed to combat terrorism in land under its control, it will be rewarded with even more land...

The Palestinian Authority (PA), through its "Pay-for-Slay" program, proudly rewards terrorists who murder or wound Jews. In just one year, "Ramallah paid out around NIS 600 million ($187 million) in salaries for Palestinians imprisoned, jailed, or killed by Israel in 2020, according to a senior Palestine Liberation Organization official." In 2018, PA President Mahmoud Abbas said: "We will neither reduce nor withhold the allowances of the families of martyrs, prisoners, and released prisoners... if we had one single penny left, we would spend it on the families of the martyrs and the prisoners."

As the poll illustrates, support for anti-Israel terrorism among the Palestinians has risen from 53% (three months ago) to 58% today...[60]

Anti-American

Despite Biden admin. acting very pro "Palestinian" and giving them large sum of aid, Mahmoud Abbas said "We don’t trust America." Fatah official: 'The US is the "enemy."'[61]

Mahmoud Abbas, aka Abu Mazen, is now the prime minister designate of the Palestinian Authority. The so-called moderate is being touted as the future leader of a new potential Palestinian State that is scheduled to be carved out of Israel and ethnically cleansed of its Jews.

Abu Mazen was one of the primary movers behind the Oslo debacle, but now Israel, after the bloody frenzy against Israeli Jews over these last several years, is once again being brass-knuckled by the international community to try again. This time, they say, it really will work; the "tough choices" really will bring about peace.

Who is this so-called moderate, Abu Mazen? He was the author of a book, which at the present time seems to have slipped through an Orwellian memory hole, called "The Other Side...." In this book, as reported by Israeli editor Arie Stav in the 1995 issue of the Israeli journal Nativ, Abu Mazen refutes the Nazi Holocaust as "The Zionist fantasy, the fantastic lie that six million Jews were killed." Additionally, Abu Mazen writes that he believes that there were only about 890,000 Jewish victims in Nazi Germany and that these victims were actually the victims of a Zionist [sic]-Nazi plot [sic]. How many Arab leaders today embrace these bizarre and sickening Nazi-type conspiracy theories? An Arabic translation of "Mein Kampf" has been widely disseminated in the Arab world since shortly after World War II, and Adolf Hitler’s definition of Zionism is well known and often quoted...

Haj Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, is often referred to as the founder of the so-called Palestinian national movement. The Mufti spent World War II in Berlin, where he was the prime minister of a Nazi-Muslim government in exile. Hitler greeted the Mufti as a head of state and promised him that after he won the war in Europe he would conquer the Arab world and solve the Jewish problem in Palestine. Photos and testimony have the Mufti touring the death camps, and letters exist of the Mufti imploring Nazis and pro-Nazi heads of state to exterminate their Jews. The PLO maintained long and well-documented ties with Nazi and neo-Nazi organizations. Since the advent of Oslo, the PLO, now the Palestinian Authority, has downplayed its Nazi orientation so as to fool the useful idiots on the American and Israeli Jewish left.

Nevertheless, in August of 1995, when the Israeli and Western-financed and -armed Palestinian Authority police force finished its training, the graduates were sworn in with the Nazi salute.

The commander of Force 17, which serves as Yasir Arafat’s personal praetorian guard and which has been linked to some of the worst atrocities against Israeli Jews in the present Intifada, is Fawsi Salim el Mahdi, better known by his nome de guerre "Abu Hitler." El Mahdi acquired the nickname after naming his two sons Eichmann and Hitler.

Europe underwent de-Nazification after the war and perhaps the same will be done in Iraq. Nazism, however, still maintains a lethal grip on the minds and souls of many Arabs, particularly the ruling classes. As Israelis know all too well, Nazism was exported to and took root in the Arab world.

... In 1972, Abu Mazen was responsible for raising the funds, required for the Munich Massacre of 11 Israeli athletes. The statement of Abu Mazen, ".. 50 holocausts[sic]" caused a great storm, and triggered many reactions in the world and the political system, with the Biden administration and Germany, which was present, strongly condemned his statement.

Shlomit Romano, the daughter of Joseph Romano who was murdered in the Munich 1972 massacre, was hosted in Anat Davidov and Golan Yukpaz's program and in 103 FM, and said: "Abu Mazen was part of From the same planning of the murder. Abu Mazen apparently did not make the path we hoped he'd do, and to my great dismay does not understand that the Holocaust does not compare anything else. Holocaust is something that can not be compared to and throw it into the air." "This is not the first time that Germany is not ready against Palestinian terrorism, it happened 50 years ago. Unfortunately, Germany apparently did not grasp to understand how to deal with Palestinian terror then nor today," Romano said...

      a. His own involvement in the 1972 Munich massacre.

      b. And the Neo-Nazi Palestinian cooperation at the 1972 crime.
    • 2. Belittling the Holocaust, part of Abu Mazen's own long history of Holocaust denial since the 1980s, at least.
    • 3. Attempts to rewrite history of:

      a. The Arab massacre of Jews in 1920, 1921, 1929, 1938, 1947; the massacres by Fedayeen in the 1950s (which Adolf Eichmann assisted in weapons supplies).

      b. Arab Palestinians, pro-Hitler as German official reported in 1937; in that year 'All' of Arab-Palestine celebrated Muhamnad's birthday with flying Nazi swastika and pictures of Hitler (NYT reported on May/23); Arab-Palestinians officially and in general hailed Hitler in 1938 (as reported in the US in Sep/Oct of that year); Al Husseini, the Grand Mufti with Jamal Husseini's Futuwwah modeled on HitlerYouth; Grand Mufti's pact with Hitler in Nov 1941; his tour of concentration camps in 1942; his plan to build death camps in Palestine; his intervention against rescuing Jewish children who were about to arrive in Palestine; his urging the Nazis to bomb Jews in Palestine; his Operation Atlas plot which some say included poisoning some 250,000 Jews of Tel Aviv; Arab "Palestinians" overwhelmingly cheering and praying for the Axis victory (1940) - as Ahmad Shukeiri wrote in his book that about himself and others as "we;" Arab "Palestinian" 80% pro Hitler in Feb 1941 (poll); Jamal Husseini and Ahmad Shukeiri justifying the Holocaust in 1946 and the latter promoting neo Nazi group in Nov 1962 at the UN.

  15. Stephen Pollard, Abbas's Berlin press conference confirmed a deep truth about the Palestinian president, The JC, Aug 17, 2022.

We should stop taking him as we want him to be and focus on what he actually is... Abbas’ thesis ...for good measure he adds that six million dead is a made up figure to prompt sympathy. The real number who were killed, Abbas tells us, was around a million. But in 2003 he told Haaretz: “The Holocaust was a terrible, unforgiveable crime against the Jewish nation, a crime against humanity that cannot be accepted by humankind. The Holocaust was a terrible thing and nobody can claim I denied it.” This statement has been used to portray Abbas’s thesis as some sort of youthful mistake which the mature statesman has moved on from — to show that Abbas is the man so many in the West want him to be. His statement, however, demonstrates nothing of the sort. When he wrote his thesis in 1982 he did not ‘deny’ a Holocaust took place. Rather, he distorted and warped it — changing the very nature of the Shoah (and the number murdered) so the blame for their death lies with the Jews themselves. (He reiterated all these assertions in 2013 to Al-Mayadeen, an Iran-sympathising TV channel in Lebanon.) On Wednesday he ‘clarified’ his remarks in Berlin, saying that “the Holocaust is the most heinous crime in modern human history.” Credulous fools have again ignored what Abbas actually means by that. It’s time we stopped projecting what we want Abbas to be and focused on what he actually is, using his own words. In a speech in 2018 he informed us that Israel is a “colonialist project that had nothing to do with Judaism” — to such an extent that European Jews chose to stay in their homes and be murdered rather than live in Palestine. Do I have to point out the moral degeneracy of such a proposition? It would seem so, given the persistent refusal of so many to take Abbas for what he actually is.

Tuesday’s events in Berlin are, in the scheme things, trivial. But as so often, a larger truth is confirmed by trivialities.
  16. 16.0 16.1 16.2 Ruthie Blum, The Palestinians continue to exploit the Holocaust, JPost, Aug 18, 2022.

...The question was not only relevant to the upcoming 50th anniversary of the mass murder committed by the Palestinian terrorist group Black September; it was particularly apt, given the fact that Abbas himself was named by the architect of the bloodshed, Mohammed Oudeh (aka Abu Daoud), as one of the three senior Fatah officials who assisted him in orchestrating the attack.... NOR WAS it surprising, then, that prominent Palestinians praised him for his declarations in Germany. "Mr. President, you are strong," his Fatah faction captioned a photo of a smiling Abbas that it posted on social media. "Continue with God’s blessing and rest assured. We are proud of you and we are all behind you." This was just a taste of the sympathy Abbas received in the PA. As Khaled Abu Toameh reported in these pages on Wednesday, Fatah recruitment head Monir al-Jaghoub said that "no apology for our struggle for freedom" is necessary. Fatah honcho Munther al-Hayek opined that, in Germany, Abbas "remind[ed] the world of the suffering of the Palestinian people..." PLO Executive Committee Bassam Salhi, head of the Palestinian People’s Party, wrote on Facebook, “[Abbas’s] statements in Germany ... holocausts... are truthful and express the position of the Palestinians.” Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine official Tayseer Khaled, another member of the PLO Executive Committee, concurred. "The state of hysteria in Israel and the angry reactions against the president’s statements during his visit to the German capital were expected," he said in a statement... Palestinian hatred of Israel SINCE THIS hatred of Israel and desire for its destruction are as rampant among Palestinians as Holocaust exploitation for political purposes, the sudden widespread outcry over Abbas’s Germany performance is peculiar. As the research organization Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) pointed out in the wake of the event, comparing Israel to the Nazis is central to PA ideology. Decades of examples exist, including from this year alone, which PMW has documented. But one purveyor of the vile distortion is particularly worthy of note in the current context: Fatah Central Committee Secretary-General Jibril Rajoub, who happens to head not only the Palestinian Football Association but the Palestine Olympic Committee, as well. In a May 5 interview on PA TV, Rajoub called Israelis "the new [sic. Rajoub] Nazis who are committing acts of terror officially, and whose prisons are a matching copy of the source of [sic. Rajoub] Auschwitz and the death camps [sic. Rajoub]." This was a reiteration of a January 2 Facebook post in which referred to the Israeli government as "the new Nazis[sic]" and "the living and recognizable model of the [sic. Rajoub]fascist and Nazi thinking of the desire for expansion." In his Olympic Committee role, he called on participants in last year’s Tokyo Olympics – where, for the first time ever, a moment of silence was held during the opening ceremony for the victims of the Munich massacre – to refuse to compete with Israeli contenders. This is the same guy who, in 2012, lauded then-International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge for nixing such a moment of silence at that summer’s games in London. According to PMW, after Rogge denied the request of the families of the victims to mark the terrorist tragedy, Rajoub wrote him a letter saying, "Sports are a bridge for love, communication and the spreading of peace between nations, and should not be used for divisiveness and the spread of racism[sic]." NO, HE WASN’T kidding. Abbas wasn’t joking, either, when he likened Israeli actions to Nazi atrocities – yet both suit-and-tie-wearing terrorists must be laughing at Israel and the rest of the West for having short memories that keep the contents of their deep pockets flowing into PA coffers.

Indeed, Germany, a key European Union donor to the PA, may have egg on its face at the moment. But the chance of its withholding cash to the "pay for slay" entities in Ramallah and Gaza when Scholz’s "disgust" dies down is slim-to-nil.

Any attempt to compare the terrible Holocaust with the activities of IDF soldiers protecting the citizens of Israel is distorted and false. The Berlin police opened an initial investigation against the Palestinian President Abu Mazen on his comments this week that Israel did "50 holocausts[sic]" ... The police approved Friday, a report of the German daily in the child according to which Abbas was investigated for a possible incitement to hatred after receiving a formal criminal complaint.
  23. Ashley Cornell, German police are investigating Abbas, S Chronicles, August 19, 2022.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen)’s Holocaust "accusation" ... is now also calling Berlin police to action. "The preliminary investigation into the initial suspicion of incitement to hatred under article 130 of the Penal Code is being processed in a specialized department of the State Criminal Police Station”, a police spokeswoman told the newspaper “Bild” (Friday).

Criminal lawyer Udo Vetter told the German newspaper: "As a result, an initial suspicion of downplaying Nazi tyranny cannot be ruled out immediately." At a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz at the chancellery on Tuesday, Abbas accused Israel of several "holocausts[sic]" ... sparking outrage...

Questioned by "Bild", the Federal Foreign Office said the German government assumed that Abbas enjoyed immunity because he was in the Federal Republic as part of an "official visit".

Augsburg criminal law expert Michael Kubiciel told the paper that it was not decisive whether Abbas was in Berlin at the invitation of the Federal Republic. Many people would accept an invitation from government agencies without enjoying immunity. It is therefore crucial that the person was in Germany “as a representative of another state”. Consequently, the question "whether or not Palestine is a state is of crucial importance," Kubiciel said. Germany did not recognize Palestine as a state.
  24. Abbas's trivialization of Holocaust spurs inquiry by Berlin police, JNS, August 19, 2022.

Berlin police opened a preliminary inquiry into whether Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas broke German laws against incitement of hatred... "[He] downplayed the most terrible time in the history of our country, and in the history of my family and religious community," said Mike Delberg, who filed a complaint against the Palestinian Authority leader... Abbas’s statements, made during a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday, were in response to a question about if he would apologize for the massacre of 11 Israeli coaches and athletes by Palestinian terrorists during the 1972 Summer Olympics—as the 50th anniversary of the event approaches. According to the Associated Press [2], downplaying the Holocaust is a criminal offense in Germany, though a preliminary inquiry does not automatically mean a full investigation... The comments drew international condemnation, and Scholz called [3] Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid to clarify that Germany opposes Abbas’s trivialization of the Holocaust. "I am disgusted by the outrageous remarks made by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas … ," Scholz said in a statement [4]. "For us Germans, in particular, any relativization of the singularity of the Holocaust is intolerable and unacceptable. I condemn any attempt to deny the crimes of the Holocaust." Mahmoud Al-Habbash, an advisor to Abbas, defended Abbas’s denial of the Holocaust, saying during a televised address republished by MEMRI [5] that the Israelis "want us to forget history, while they want the world to remember a history which is mostly forged [sic. Mahmoud], exaggerated, fabricated [sic. Mahmoud], with no basis in reality."

According to Jerusalem Post Palestinian affairs correspondent Khaled Abu Toameh, national and religious groups in the Gaza Strip have condemned [6] the German investigation, saying that the "... committed by Israel are not less than the crimes committed during [World War II] against the Jews and others."

  26. Eldad Beck, Germany should send money to families of Munich victims rather than Palestinians, ILH, Aug 22, 2022.

After Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' Holocaust denial, Germany has increasingly been called on to impose sanctions on the PA and decrease its aid to the Palestinians. Former German parliamentarian Volker Beck proposed a creative idea this week to resolve the crisis regarding the compensation to the families of 11 Israeli athletes who were killed at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich by members of a Palestinian group. After Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of committing "50 (sic) Holocaust" against Palestinians while in Germany, and refused to apologize for his remarks, Beck who heads the German-Israeli Parliamentary Friendship Group – called on the government to transfer the funds earmarked as Palestinian aid to the families of the Israeli athletes instead. He stressed that according to Olympic security officials, Abbas was involved in the preparations for the 1972 attack and apparently even financed the operation. Since Abbas' scandalous remarks at the joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Germany has increasingly been called on to impose sanctions on the PA and decrease its aid to the Palestinians. Between 2021 and 2022, Berlin has sent Ramallah around 340 million euros. The German Foreign Ministry said it does not intend to decrease the funds. It is unclear how much of the aid comes from the German government directly as political foundations and aid and civil organization also contribute. The information is defined by the Bundestag as a "state secret." Relatives of the murdered Israeli athletes have long criticized how German authorities handled the attack and this year announced they would boycott the upcoming memorial ceremony in Munich to mark the 50th anniversary of the massacre due to Germany's "degrading compensation offer."

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has been working on a compromise between the parties that would prevent Germany from being humiliated at the memorial ceremony due to being boycotted by Israel.

The spirits in Germany still haven't calmed down after Abu Mazen's words in Berlin - and in Munich there was an anti-Semitic incident: a security man saluted an Israeli delegation in the Olympic village in Munich.

It happened when members of the Israeli delegation to the European Athletics Championships arrived at the memorial site in memory of the 11 Martyrs. Abbas' political rival Muhammad Dahlan accuses Abbas of stealing $600 million of the $1.4 billion that Arafat's Prime Minister Salam Fayyad transferred to Abbas when Abbas assumed the Palestinian presidency.

An EU audit of the years 2008-2012 found that 2 billion Euros of its aid were lost to corruption and misappropriation by Palestinian leaders.

The refusal of the international community to hold Abbas and the PA accountable for nepotism and corruption drove Gazan Palestinians into the open arms of Hamas, the terrorist group which promised them reform.

Today, nothing has changed. The West is fixated on creating a Palestinian state no matter how corrupt. Given Abbas' perfidious dictatorship, such a state is doomed to failure. All indications are that President Obama will reward this reprehensible behavior with a rapid path to statehood.

[A whole life of Holocaust denial. Mahmoud Abbas]

There is no novelty in that Mahmoud Abbas was and still is a Holocaust denier. Particularly well-known is his 1982 doctoral dissertation at the Communist University in Moscow, entitled "On the Secret Link between Nazism and the Zionist Leadership," in which he distorts numbers and quotes Holocaust deniers. An important fruit of this work was a book he published on the subject, based on the propaganda writings of Adolf Eichmann. These are the facts.

Palestine: Statement by the Spokesperson on President Abbas' remarks on Jews and anti-Semitism. The speech delivered by President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas to Fatah's 11th Revolutionary Council in late August contained false and grossly misleading remarks about Jews and anti-Semitism. Such historical distortions are inflammatory, deeply offensive, can only serve to exacerbate tensions in the region and serve no-one’s interests. They play into the hands of those who do not want a two-state solution, which President Abbas has repeatedly advocated for. Moreover, they trivialize Holocaust and thereby fuel anti-Semitism and are an insult to the millions of victims of the Holocaust and their families.

The European Union remains committed to combating antisemitism and racism in all its forms and will continue to strongly oppose any attempt to condone, justify or trivialise the Holocaust.

It's never a good sign when a dictator delivers a rambling historical lecture, in the style of Fidel Castro or Vladimir Putin. Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the Palestinian Authority, proved the point on Aug. 24 before the Fatah Revolutionary Council. His subject? The Jews. Most media will ignore his comments, which were translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute. They don't fit the liberal narrative that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a clash of two nationalisms that can be resolved in a "peace process" if Israelis make more concessions. The comments also don’t fit the narrative, gaining ground among Democrats, that the Israelis are extreme and the Palestinians progressive. "The truth that we should clarify to the world," Mr. Abbas began, "is that European Jews are not [sic] Semites. They have nothing to do with [sic] Semitism." He cited the Khazar hypothesis, which speculates that Ashkenazi Jews aren’t descended from the Holy Land, hailing instead from the medieval Tatar kingdom. This has been discredited by a century of scholarship; today, it's a theory one expects to find only in online fever swamps. But its usefulness in denying the Jewish connection to the land of Israel has made it a mainstream claim among Palestinians. Mr. Abbas kept going. "They say that Hitler killed the Jews for being Jews, and that Europe hated the Jews because they were Jews. Not true," he averred. Europeans "fought against these people because [sic] of their role [sic] in society, which had to do with usury, money and so on." "Even Hitler," he added, "said he fought the Jews because they were dealing with usury and money." Yes, even for Hitler, "this was not about Semitism and anti-Semitism."

Three days before Mr. Abbas’s speech, his Fatah party’s military wing competed with Hamas to take credit for the murder near Hebron of a Jewish preschool teacher, Batsheva Nigri, in front of her child. If you wonder why the Oslo peace process hit a dead end and stayed there, consider that Mr. Abbas and Fatah have been described for decades as "moderates."...
