A fortiori

The term a fortiori (pronounced AY four-shee-OH-ree) is Latin for "with stronger reason." It is used when logic compels one conclusion, and the same logic compels with even stronger force a second conclusion.

For example, if witnesses notice that the bank robbers were only 5 feet tall, and then a suspect is released because he is 6 feet tall, then a fortiori a suspect who is 6-foot 5-inches tall should also be released.
