Abdel Fattah el-Sisi

Abdel Fattah el-Sisi (November 19, 1954 - ) is the current president of Egypt. He took power by overthrowing Islamist dictator Mohammed Morsi. He was democratically elected in August 2014.[1] Before he was the supreme commander of the Egyptian armed forces.

Sisi is an admirer of secular president Gamal Abdel Nasser[2] and supports an independent Palestinian state.[3]
