Other states that passed pro-life amendments to Constitution
Four other states had passed pro-life ballot initiatives which prohibit judicial interpretation of their state constitutions to authorize abortion, as of July 2022:
- Tennessee (2014), overruling the ruling by the Tennessee Supreme Court in Planned Parenthood v. Sundquist (2000)
- Alabama (2018)
- West Virginia (2018), overruling the ruling by the West Virginia Supreme Court in Women’s Health Center v. Panepinto (1993) (requiring funding of abortion by Medicaid)
- Louisiana (2020)
