Aflatoxin

Aflatoxins are toxic substances produced by the fungus Aspergillus. They are highly carcinogenic.

They are sometimes found in cereals (i.e. rice, corn, sorghum), oilseeds (i.e. peanuts, sunflower seeds), spices (i.e. ginger, coriander), and tree nuts (i.e. almonds, pistachios).
