Aleksey Dyumin

Aleksey Dyumin (b. August 28, 1972 in Kursk) is a Russian military commander and statesman. Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation since May 14, 2024. Hero of the Russian Federation (2016). Colonel General (2021), Candidate of Political Sciences (2009).

Governor of the Tula Region (September 22, 2016 - May 14, 2024; acting February 2 – September 22, 2016). Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation (December 24, 2015 – February 2, 2016).

According to political scientists and experts of the Petersburg Politics Foundation, in 2017, Alexei Dyumin was one of the three likely successors of Russian President Vladimir Putin.[1]
