Alexander Perls (born May 11, 1976) is an Atheist electronic musician.

Although Perls is an Atheist, many of his songs contain Christian language.[1] Due to the mocking tone in some of these songs, it would not be unreasonable to understand his work as atheist music.[2]

Perls's song "Dreamscape" (released under the pseudonym 009 Sound System) has been nicknamed the "National Anthem of YouTube".[3] If a YouTube video uses a song that the copyright holders do not allow on YouTube, YouTube will give the uploader the opportunity to replace the soundtrack with a song from a list of royalty-free songs. 009 Sound System became popular in the early days of YouTube because its songs were on the top of this list and many users did not care enough about music to make much effort in their selection.
