Another Brick in the Wall (1979) was a hit song by Pink Floyd in criticizing schooling in England.

The song is actually in three parts, interspersed within the album The Wall. The one which is the best known is Part 2; the song's official title is "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)".

It was ranked by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top 500 songs of all time. Its anti-liberal lyrics include:
We don't need no education
We don't need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teacher, leave them kids alone

Its meaning is downplayed in the United States where liberals want public schools to have credibility as they indoctrinate kids with Leftist ideology.

The song captures, whether intentional or not, how Leftists view the victims of their propaganda, and how Dropbox Dems view voters.

Awards

This song, written by bassist Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, won the BAFTA Best Original Song Written for a Film (1983), for the movie Pink Floyd The Wall. Some commentators suggest that this song may have been inspired in part by Waters' loneliness due to the death of his father as a British soldier during World War II.

US success

This song is the only one by Pink Floyd to hit #1 on the U.S. charts, although the rock group has enjoyed immense overall success.
