Anthony Powell

Anthony Dymoke Powell, (December 21, 1905–March 28, 2000) was an English comic novelist, diarist and biographer, whose most famous work is the celebrated 12-volume roman fleuve A Dance to the Music of Time. Published between 1951 and 1975, the book details the progress of upper-middle class English life from before the First World War until the decadent aftermath of the 1960s.
