Authoritarian is an attribute of a strict authority figure. Authoritarian governments are often overreaching and draconian. Examples of authoritarian governments in the 21st century are China, North Korea and Scotland.

In the 21st Century, proponents of the homosexual agenda and gay rights often use the term to describe and disparage governments that have not decriminalized homosexuality or legalized gay marriage.[1][2][3][4]
