Azimuth angle
From Conservapedia
Azimuth has several definitions.
The azimuth angle is the angle between true south and the point on the horizon directly below the sun.[1]
An azimuthal angle is an angle a line forms with the x-axis in the xy-plane, as measured in spherical coordinates. The variable is usually the Greek character theta.[2]
In geology, an azimuth is the angle between the vertical projection of a line of interest onto a horizontal surface and due North. It is typically measured clockwise from due North.
