Baptist World Alliance
From Conservapedia
The Baptist World Alliance is an international fellowship of Baptist conventions and organizations. Founded in 1905, the BWA is one of the largest Baptist organizations in the world.[1] The current President of the Alliance is Neville Callam, who was elected in 2007 at the Alliance's General Council in Ghana on July 6, 2007 [2]
Notably, the Southern Baptist Convention (the world's largest Baptist denomination) is no longer a member; it withdrew from the Alliance in 2004 over concerns that it had become increasingly liberal in doctrine (at a time when the SBC was becoming conservative once again).
