Battle of Halbe

The Battle of Halbe occurred in late April, 1945, during World War II, South-East of Berlin, between Soviet forces led by Marshal Ivan Konev and the remains of the German 9th Army. Soviet forces won a major victory. About 30,000 German soldiers were killed and 25,000 others were captured.
