Beowulf the Dane

Beowulf the Dane is a character in the epic Beowulf who shares a name with the hero of the poem. He is the son of Scyld Sceafing and becomes king of the Danes after many heroic exploits with the Geats. He is respected for his superhuman strength, wisdom, bravery, and generosity.
