Beverly LaHaye (born April 30, 1929) founded a formidable women's organization Concerned Women for America (CWA) that is often at odds with gay causes. Self-identifying "gay" Mel White from the "Gay Christian" movement castigated her as one of his favorite "homophobic radio or television personalities," who "uses her own genteel brand of homophobia" to mobilize CWA.[1]

LaHaye is the wife of the late Tim LaHaye.
