Boston is a market town and inland port in the Parts of Holland in Lincolnshire. It has a population of around 45,000.

Among the town's most notable landmarks is St Botolph's Church, which is the largest parish church in England and has one of the tallest medieval buildings in the country. Boston is the namesake of several other settlements worldwide, with the largest being Boston, Massachusetts, once part of the Thirteen Colonies and now part of the United States. The link between Boston and the early Massachusetts colony is commemorated by its Pilgrim Hospital (re-named as such in 1970), which is named for the Pilgrim Fathers.
