Bovey, Minnesota

Bovey is a town in Minnesota, part of the state's historic Iron Range.

A notable person from Bovey is Eric Enstrom, a photographer who took a photograph named Grace, which depicted an elderly man saying grace before a meal. Even though the elements within the photo had little to do with the concept (the man in the photo was the town drunk, and the Bible was actually a large dictionary), the photo was a great source of inspiration (as it was taken during World War I, when many Americans had little in terms of possessions), and was ultimately made into a popular painting. Grace was later named the official state photograph of Minnesota.
