CYA

CYA is American slang for a term meaning to attempt to avoid personal responsibility for a decision or action. It is commonly used in bureaucracy and the private sector.

The most popular meaning is cover your a** (the latter word is the expletive term for a donkey or one's rear end), but in some cases, where profanity isn't allowed, the latter term is replaced by assets or another euphemism.
