Subcategories

I'm making this page so you know that I'm slowly and arduously categorizing these authors by nationality so there aren't as many on one giant page.--Abcqwe (talk) 16:21, 6 March 2017 (EST)

In detail, the categorizing works this way: each page formerly in [Category:Authors] is either removed from the category, if the page does not describe him or her as an author, or more likely given at least a nationality tag, such as [Category:Czech Authors] or [Category:Latin American Authors]. Sometimes, they are also given tags based on religion or political alignment. Very often, the tag [Category:Atheists] is replaced with [Category:Atheist Authors].

The exceptions to these are pages that are not authors (such as Pen name) or not editable, such as Carl Sagan.

Note that not every author's page states the nationality. This information was retrieved from Google searches.

Recategorizing edits

All of the recategorizing was made by simple edits, each of which appear in change logs described as "Recat," sometimes as "Recat, defaultsort" if I noticed that a DEFAULTSORT was necessary. Sometimes I don't notice.--Abcqwe (talk) 12:23, 12 March 2017 (EDT)
