Chase Oliver

Chase Oliver was the self-described gay nominee of the Libertarian Party for the U.S. Senate in Georgia in 2022, who pushed the race into a runoff by receiving 2%. (This is because Georgia, unlike every other state, mandates that in any race, if any candidate does not get a majority -- as opposed to a plurality, whenever three or more candidates seek office -- a runoff between the two top candidates is required.)

In 2024, Oliver became the Libertarian Party nominee for president.
