Cherokee Nation v. Georgia was a Supreme Court decision during the terms of United States President Andrew Jackson on a dispute between the Cherokees and the State of Georgia. The court ruled that it had no jurisdiction on what was really a political question. The court later made a decision on the related case of Worcester v. Georgia.
