ClamAV is an open source anti-virus engine developed by Cisco Systems. It can be used for anything from personal computer protection to server-side E-mail[1] scanning. As well as being able to detect and remove computer viruses, ClamAV is also able to detect Trojans and other kinds of malware. This engine has been used for a variety of anti-malware software solutions for multiple operating systems.[2] Clam antivirus software is also available with both graphic (GUI) and text-based interfaces.
